WELCOME TO the FITZGERALD Biosphere

An internationally recognised Biosphere Reserve and undiscovered wilderness, it is Western Australia's Best Kept Secret!

Hamersely Drive, Fitzgerald River National Park

The Shire of Ravensthorpe is located within the Fitzgerald Biosphere Coast region, and is the year-round gateway to one of the largest and most botanically significant National Parks in Australia!

Discover over 2,500 varieties of wildflower species, ancient mountain ranges, rocky hills, rugged river valleys, estuaries and large inlets which provide the area with a wealth of natural beauty.

Take in the stunning scenery, swim at the most beautiful remote beaches and watch the vivid sunsets. Hopetoun lies on the shores of the beautiful Mary Ann Haven on Western Australia’s Fitzgerald Coast overlooking the East Mt Barren in the Fitzgerald River National Park.

Experience the history both Ravensthorpe & Hopetoun has to offer.  Venture out and go four wheel driving or trail bike riding on the famous Ravensthorpe Ranges that surround the town, while discovering a variety of wildflower species significant to the area. Wildflowers can be found all year round but are most abundant in Spring.
