Directions to Hamersley Inlet Campground: We recommend accessing the campground via the sealed section of Hamersley Drive near Hopetoun. Caravans are not permitted on unsealed roads within the Fitzgerald River National Park due to narrow roads which may be corrugated. It is important to note that unsealed roads and tracks within the national park can close at short notice (during wet conditions and on occasion for safety reasons). To avoid disappointment and unnecessary travel time, you should always check to make sure that Hamersley Drive (north) within the park is open PRIOR to travelling as the entry point is some distance from South Coast Highway. To find out about road closures or any alerts within the Park visit Parks and Wildlife Service Alerts, contact Parks and Wildlife (08) 9842 4500 or visit our Road Closures page. You can also Like and Follow our Fitzgerald Biosphere Coast Facebook page to keep informed for any important notices during your visit.
